Since our last update note, ONEWallet has gone from version 3.6.30 to 3.6.36. Most of the changes sit in places you pass through without thinking: the notification shade, the brand list you pick from when adding a card, and the moment the app opens.
Shortcuts that fit the notification shade
Turn on Settings › Notifications › Show card shortcuts in Notification and ONEWallet keeps a row of your card icons in the notification shade. Favorites come first, followed by the rest in your home screen order. Tap an icon to open that card straight away, or use the Open app and New buttons underneath.
From 3.6.36, the row shows only as many icons as actually fit. On tablets, in landscape and on unfolded phones, the shade is often narrower than the screen, so the count now follows the width of the shade instead of the whole display, and the icons sit closer together. The row is recalculated when you rotate the phone, fold or unfold it, or change the display size. Open app now also starts with the same splash screen as the app icon.
If there is one card you use all the time, the home screen widget is one tap closer still.
Suggested cards by country or Global
When you add a card, the brand list now has two badges at the top: your country, with its flag, and Global. Tap one to switch between brands from your country and brands used worldwide. Search still covers both lists and keeps each result under its group heading. If your country is set to Global, you will see a single list.
A cleaner start
The splash screen icon is now a vector drawing, so it stays sharp on high-resolution screens, and it is the same size on every Android version, which makes the hand-off into the app smoother. If you use themed icons on Android 13 or later, ONEWallet now has its own single-color icon that matches the rest of your home screen.
Shared links now show the card
This change is on the web, so no update is needed. When someone opens a card you shared as a link in their browser, the page now shows a preview of the card alongside the download buttons: its color, logo, number, extra details and barcode or QR code, just as on the card screen in the app.
Getting the update
Everything above except the link preview comes with version 3.6.36. Update ONEWallet from Google Play. Store review and distribution can affect when the update appears on your device. Your cards stay as they are, so there is nothing to add again.
